Alert Declared at Westview School

graphic that says "covid-19 school alert"

Due to the recent identification of 1 to 4 COVID-19 cases at the Westview School, Alberta Health Services has declared the school to be in alert status.  The alert is set to be lifted on May 23rd, 2021 as long as there have been no new confirmed cases in the school.

An alert is declared when 2 or more confirmed cases are identified within the school.  Public health officials then initiate an investigation to monitor risk level and work with the school.

If staff or students have not been identified as a close contact of a confirmed COVID-19 case but develop core symptoms as listed on the daily screening tool, please self-isolate at home and complete the AHS COVID-19 online assessment tool or call Health Link at 811 as soon as possible to arrange for COVID-19 testing.  For more information on COVID-19 isolation or testing go to FMPSD's Stay at Home Info for Parents website.

Student and staff health and safety is our priority. We will continue to work diligently with Alberta Health Services.

Thank you for your continued understanding as we navigate this fluid situation.
